- Certified by ANCC as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or
Nurse Practitioner
- Licensed as an advanced practice psychiatric nurse in
the state in which you practice
- Prescriptive Authority or onsite mental health professional
who can supervise this competency

- When you become a Rush Preceptor you will:
- Attain Full Membership:
- Networking potential with other Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurses around
the USA through the Aha! Networking Center.
- Access to Rush Modules for Preceptors Development
- Access to all Aha! Center Resources including the Rush University Internet Library
- Earn substantial re-certification hours for actually precepting a student
- Mentor a Rush Student, who will provide service to your practice.
- Potential to hire a student who has been mentored by you.
- Q. How do I recruit a student
- A. If you know a nurse whom you would like to see become an advanced practice
psychiatric nurse, and who would want to do this through a fully accredited online program:
- Request the potential student to visit the AhaCenter Website at http://ahacenter.net/reception and if still interested, click on "Visitor Registration" on the homepage and
then fill out a potential student member application form.
